Fancy Cards - Week 3 Artfull Crafts Christmas Countdown

Hi all, week three of the Artfull Crafts Christmas Countdown - Fancy Cards. Don't forget to head on over to the Artfull Crafts Blog and join in with this weeks Competition.

Here is this weeks Blog Post:

Hi All, Fiona here with two Christmas Cards I have made for week three of the Artfull Crafts Christmas Countdown.

Now is the time to get those Christmas cards made and sent to all your friends and loved ones.

The first card is a Gatefold Easel Card made with the gorgeous Simple Stories DIY Christmas Collection. I found the template for this on the Internet.  The tag is found on the Journal Layers and I have wrapped silver trim around this and added my PeelCraft sentiment. The poinsettia flowers and leaves I cut out and covered with Glossy Accents and on the centres of the flower I have used Liquid Pearls. The heart Stand was also from the Journal Layers paper.  I finished by making a band that wraps around the card to hold it in place which I embellished.

My next card is the Tri-Fold Shutter Card, another template which I also found on the Internet. For this card I have used the Kaisercraft Yuletide Collection. I have used embellishments from the Yuletide - Collectables, gold trim and flowers to embellish this card. I also inked the edges of the decorative pieces of paper.

I so enjoyed creating these cards, be sure to head on over to the Artfull Crafts Gallery and enter the Christmas Countdown Fancy Cards Competition.

Happy Scrapping

Artfull Crafts Christmas Countdown - Layouts

Hi all, head on over to the Artfull Crafts Blog to see this weeks post for the Christmas Countdown. I had so much fun creating this post I love doing layouts and it is nice to use those Christmas photos!! Remember to join in the challenge  running for the Christmas Countdown on the Artfull Crafts Blog.

See my latest post below:

Hi there, Fiona here, wow week two of the Christmas Countdown. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating these two layouts, it’s so much fun scrapbooking Christmas photos!!

My first layout is made using the versatile Kaisercraft BaseCoat Christmas Range. I have used a piece of gold Bazzill Basic cardstock, on top of that I have used Base Coat Christmas (Natural), on which I have embossed the red decorations, I then used a stencil and modelling paste to stencil some baubles, which once dry I embossed with gold embossing powder and added gold twine. Then I have layered my photo with strips of Basecoat Christmas - Christmas Bells and Flora. I have fussy cut the pinecones from Basecoat Christmas - Pine, and embossed.  Dried pine needles and Kaisercraft Captured Moments Pocket Stickers (Christmas wish) complete this layout.

My second layout is made using the awesome KaisercraftYuletide range of papers. I have distressed the edges of Yuletide Festive. I have fussy cut the Christmas tree from Yuletide Good Tidings and I goldembossed the decorations on the tree and added a gold star to the top. My photo is layered with a gloss gold cardboard and the leftover paper from Yuletide Good Tidings, both of which I have distressed the edges of.  My scroll is made by distressing and inking the edges, adding a rub-on verse and gold embossed skewers that hold the scroll. A piece of gold embossed decorative chipboard, and my title cut out of gloss gold card complete this layout.

I hope I have given you some inspiration to start scrapping all those Christmas photos.

 Happy Crafting!

Artfull Crafts Christmas Countdown - Plain and Simple Christmas Cards

Hi all

Today is my first post for the Christmas Countdown for Artfull Crafts. Each week there will be a new challenge with weekly prizes & specials. Check out the Artfull Crafts Blog for the current weeks theme, join in and have some fun!

The first weeks theme is Plain and Simple Christmas Cards, here is my post below.

Today I am sharing two very simple Christmas Cards I have made. Both of these cards are made using layers and then adding the finishing touches.

The base of my first card is made from Bazzill Basics Rain Forest, and I have rounded all corners with a corner rounder. The next layer is cut slightly smaller and this layer is from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas - Foundations. Layer three is cut from Bazzil Basics Card Stock - Kisses, and to finish off the last layer is made by cutting one of the cards out of the Simple Stories DIY Christmas - Foundations. I have then added the trims using some red/white twine and a piece of Holly from the Kaisercraft  Collectables and used Kindy Glitz for a little bling on the Holly and my greeting is from Peelcraft.

The base of this card is made from Bazzill Basics - Kisses and again I have rounded the corners. The next layer is cut from Kaisercraft Basecoat Christmas - Natural. My third layer is cut again from Bazzill Basics - Kisses, and the final layer is a Kaisercraft  Captured  Moments  Basecoat Christmas 6x4 card. For the trims I have used a greeting, and a piece of Holly from Kaisercraft Collectables, and again have used a little Kindy Glitz on the berries.

Thanks for looking I hope you feel inspired to start your Christmas crafts, I will be back next week with another post for the Christmas Countdown.

Happy Crafting!
